Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms cover itadminutils.com and FailNote, our failure-alert service at app.itadminutils.com. By using them, you agree to these terms.
The free tools
The tools and guides on this site are free and run in your browser. They explain likely causes, but you decide what to change on your systems.
Your FailNote account
You need a working email address to sign in. Keep your install key private, since anyone with it can report to your account. You can get a new key or delete your account at any time in the dashboard.
Only install the FailNote agent on servers you manage or have permission to monitor. Don't use FailNote to send spam, overload our service, or get around plan limits.
Plans and billing
The Free plan covers one server. The Pro plan covers up to 10 servers for $9 a month, billed in advance until you cancel. Lemon Squeezy sells Pro for us as the merchant of record, so it handles payments, receipts and sales tax.
You can cancel anytime in the billing portal. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. See our refund policy for refunds. We'll email you at least 30 days before any price change affects your plan.
Alerts can be late or missed
FailNote depends on your server, its network, our hosting and your email or chat provider. Any of these can delay or drop an alert. FailNote is a helpful extra pair of eyes, not a guarantee. Keep your own backups and checks for anything critical.
The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data, downtime or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Ending the service
We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut FailNote down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any paid time you haven't used.
Changes
If we make an important change to these terms, we'll email FailNote users at least 30 days before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
